BAUHAUS Bochum-Wattenscheid

For house purposes anything and everything you can get to build your house or home more beautiful...This Bauhaus is very big. Very friendly environment and their staffs are nice.

.....while on vacation in Bochum I took the Regional train to Wattenscheid to go to Bauhaus to look for steel-springs to mend an automatic reclining chair for my handicapped father. Bauhaus is only about 3 minutes walk from the station. Entering the shop i went straight to Information to ask for steel-springs while showing the young man behind a counter the original sample which I pulled from my pocket. I was directed down the alleys and then left. Asked again somewhere and was guided to the display that was only filled with one sample of a much weaker spring. In order to compare I pulled the original spring again from my pocket and put it back again. I went on to another alley to bring a tube of acrylic filler and proceeded to the till at the exit. The cashier lady appeared to be very unfriendly and after paying I tried to get out of the place but I was stopped by an African who spoke about security in very poor German while I just had a glimpse of something like an id card that he had around his neck. He wanted to look into my left pocket. Took me a while to comprehend that I was under suspicion of theft. I was asked back into some room and got very dirty looks from all the staff. The African found out that I had a spring sample in my pocket and said that I had not registered that with the crew on entering. Why the man at Information had not verified seeing the sample on me entering I have no idea. Got no apology really just more dirty looks from all the cashier ladies. A bit stupid they appeared I must say. I will not go there again.... Ich bin hier des Diebstahls verdaechtigt worden.. Ueberaus unfreundliches und dumm erscheinendes Personal mit keinem Benehmen. Werde sie nicht noch einmal bemuehen. Sehr sehr bloedes Erlebnis denn eine Entschuldigung wurde nicht gegeben.... Nie wieder...
