Coffee and pastries @Ettal. Small bakery, large variety of cake and pasties to choose from. Value for money.
One of our favourite places to visit for a coffee, service prompt and very friendly. Worth the visit.
Nice baked goods but staff is unfriendly and rough even with kids.
A must when you are in Ettal! Lovely bakery – yum! Great baked goods. Also have a small market where convenient type items can be picked up. We enjoyed the deli sandwiches they made for us – great rolls & breads are offered. Then you could pick from local meats and cheeses to create your sandwich (we enjoyed some cheese from the local Ettal cheese cooperative – Schaukaserei) Hot and cold drinks were also available. The baked goods were delicious and the sandwiches were just great and so reasonably priced. There is a small seating section as well (about 6 tables which was a nice café area) There are also two restrooms which was helpful. We received warm hospitality and great service. We were assisted with our purchases in English which was helpful. (note – it’s Ammergauer Strasse 7 – I don’t recall Ulrich Komm being on the sign outside – I recall a yellow awning noting – Café – Backerei – Konditorei) Be sure to stop while you are in Ettal – yum!!
Fair priced, homemade bread, cake, etc. isn't too much, 3rd party products are overpriced. Food is very good and the only option in Ettal
