Exhibitions are presented in beautiful surroundings: that of a villa full of history, which reminds a little Tomi Ungerer Museum of Strasbourg.
However, the interest is linked to the works presented.
Even the building and the beautiful rooms and stairs are worth a visit.

One of the most important cultural institutions in Landau. Must see.
Very informative
The Municipal Gallery Villa Streccius, which is supported by the Kunstverein, offers respectable exhibitions three to four times a year. Currently the exhibition of the Kunstverein "HABITAT - setting up in the world". Impressive the pictures and objects in their clarity and variety.
It is just as impressive how the spacious ambience of the bourgeois villa makes the artworks stand out in the light-flooded rooms. Many newly built Kunsthaus "looks old". Interesting also the history of the house, the representative rooms on the ground floor and the first floor, connected by the generous staircase, which used to have the servants and which today opens up the rooms outside of the gallery.
In the pre-war and war years resided here the NSDAP, then the French occupying power, later the city used the house as a museum of local history.
