Friendly, prompt, flexible service. I had requested a last minute vegan cake for a party of 20 and nothing short of perfection was delivered. We recieved many compliments on not only the presentation but also the flavor. I appreciate the flexibility as I had requested this cake fairy last minute. I bought the Rainbow Cake for my wife’s 30th birthday. It was the most beautiful cake we have all ever seen. THEN we cut into it and the inside was even more amazing! It had matching rainbow layers of cake as the outside, as well as rainbow chocolate m&ms inside the center that matched the color order. The amount of detail put into this cake blows our minds; we can only imagine how much time was put into it. Thank you so much Bärbel at Die Caterin! This was WAY beyond our expectations. Die Caterin has baked a cake for me before and it was very nice, indeed. I thought about her catering again for my wedding party (40x people) so I contacted her. She kindly sent me the list and a proposal. It was not according to my budget, so I asked some time to go through the menu and the prices of her finger food. It was going everything according to the plan. I asked some time (as I was on vacations) to decide on the menu and RIGHT AFTER I came back and actually had time to discuss it with my fiance I sent her our request and she simply, basically, said: "meanwhile, I received a better order than yours [it was someone's 70th bday party] so I wont be able to do your party anymore because is on he same weekend. Im alone so I cant do everything." SERIOUSLY ??????? When she left for vacations the first time I ever contacted her (back in 2015) I had to wait for a reply. She couldnt wait for me, who was a guarantee loyal client?? SERIOUSLY ???? Is this how people do business in Germany? I was counting on her on 200%!!!!! It took me time and effort to find a replacement. After all, this is not "just a bday party" or a "bbq party" is my wedding party !!! Like I said in the beginning: But there are many many many coffee shops and bakeries with equal or better quality and, most importantly: with a better cost. I was REALLY disappointed with Die Caterin! Really! She seems to work alone and doesnt have much help... Unfortunately, she is one of the few "companies" in catering in Kaiserslautern area (although, if you need other suggestions I can give you, because after what happened to me I started researching all over again!) but VERY unreliable! I would never do business with her. I thought what she did was very unprofessional from her side! Like I said in the beginning: the cake was good, but the way she managed my situation was, in my opinion, very sadly bad. So, that's why I wouldnt recommend her to anyone.
