Decent campsite with hardstanding for campers, shop, bistro in evening, clean facilities, good and not onerous covid measures. Usual German nickel and diming cost structure. Avoid during Volksfest/Fruelingsfest. It's a covid year so no festival but grounds are fenced off so no quick route to ubahn (regardless of what Google maps says). Staff friendly. Quick and easy to get into Stuttgart by public transport, and river pathway not far for walking or cycling.

Area for tents very noisy and not very scenic. Nice restaurant. Not too far from city centre.

It's not a campsite but the most expensive Car/Lorry Park I've ever been to. Yes it's got electricity and clean showers but it in the middle of the biggest fairground I've ever seen. There are Travellers/Fairground workers everywhere some on site drinking beer for breakfast. It's next to the river but because of fences it's a 20 min walk before you see water which is a shame because the River is beautiful. If it's convenience for visiting Stuttgart that you're after then fine it's just not for me, and I could have got a hotel room for not much more.

f you have a camper or caravan and want to visit Stuttgart for a few days : this is the place to be. It's not in the middle of nature & you will hear the city noises but it's still pretty green and conveniently close to the city center (if you have a bike). Check however upfront if there's something ongoing in the Neckerpark. In that case, it might be less nice to stay here. The camping site has a quite pleasant bar where you can sit outside for a last drink & they have a small store where you can order also bread for the morning. During our stay there were some young people who came back at 3am and did not bother the 'camping etiquette' to be quiet. It's the downsite of being at the city camping so you need to take that into account as well, or stay further away from the city center
