The Jupiter Giant Pillar is a testimony to the syncretistic Roman-Germanic cult of gods that was widespread in antiquity. The object at the New Castle is a reconstruction of the Jupiter gigantic column by Hausen an der Zaber. However, the fact that it is not an original does not take away its magic, its execution is flawless and thus indirectly a testimony to the sculptural art in the Roman Empire. The base of the pillar is formed by a team of four gods. This is followed by a stone of the week, above which stands the columnar column. The crowning figure at the top represents the riding Jupiter. An excursion with a visit to the ancient world is worth it here.
