Impressive to think this whole world of the past likely exists beneath Trier. What I wonder though is this. We tend to use the Romans as a milestone or yardstikc for all things old in Europe. But there were advanced, complex societies in Germany and all over Europe before the Romans. Definitely check out the Forum baths, but do keep in mind someone was here in a vibrant culture before the Romans.

History is cool, just not the coolest attraction to see if limited on time.

Was here in 2018. Amazing 4th century Roman ruins. There is also a giant white foot. ta da.

It's probably very interested for someone who's interested in old stones and bricks, and the Roman time in general, and has a good imagination about such things. I don't have neither particular interest, nor can I imagine what did actually take place in there. Though, I must admit, the place is well preserved and very nicely displayed. It's roofed, the place has a wardrobe and and elevator, toilet inside. Kids can run around. The wells are protected by special fences.
