The name means “Glimps in the kitchen” as it is said that from this tower it was possible to catch a glimps of what was happening in royal kitchen, just oposite the tower.

The one with the funny name here is a former defense tower and the rest of the city fortifications of Magdeburg. It is located near the Elbe. It is well preserved, but unfortunately it was already closed at the time of our visit.

Magdeburg's free sight. There is a small exhibition in the tower. To the left of the tower there is a stairway upwards which offers a nice view. The windows could be cleaned.
