KNAUS Campingpark Bad Dürkheim

Poor facilities; no information for camping-caristes: sanitaires clean but the site is just a huge dirty car park. Staff were just the right side of polite but surly and brusque. Totally lacking in tourist empathy. The most expensive site we have ever visited in Germany. Beware of arriving too early in the day as expensive early arrival surcharge imposed. Would not recommend.

Nice camping for a few days but no longer. We bought coins for the washing machines but they are either in use or broke down... So we couldn't use the coins. Showers are to small clothes get wet and no option for families to shower together with the kids. Lake is small but nice on s hot day. Water is not that clean, but it looks like it is a closed lake with no connection to a bigger river. Its joined with a small private airport which is used for parachute jumps etc. So you do hear some plains. Also there is some kind of commercial or military airport in the neighborhood because a few times per day some big jets fly by on low altitude (looks like military planes)

Small pitches expensive and some staff not overly welcoming or friendly. Lake lovely and definitely needed in 36deg heat. Facilities lovely clean and plenty for kid's to do. Restraunts close by don't bother they couldn't accommodate us twice so gave up.

Beautiful lake. Really, really small pitches and the most expensive site we've ever visited. Oh, and there is an aerodrome just the other side of the lake. However, there were only small aircraft and they didn't fly overnight. We definitely won't be back.
