A very beautiful place, beautifully situated in the Isar Valley between Lenggries and Bad Tölz on the right bank of the Isar. Obergries is easy to reach by car, because the Bavarian Oberlandbahn (BOB) runs every hour to Obergries, a bus stop in Rain can be reached in a few minutes. About a main road (B13), but also by a state highway, the district can be reached. Not to be forgotten is the bike path, which runs along the Isar right and left.
