Great experience for Tram enthusiasts. I recommend taking a guided tour which is included in the price. Ou guide explained all details based on his profound knowledge of tram history, and this goes far beyond what you can read on the signs when you just walk around the old trams and busses.

Our company hosted a large event at MVG in 2019. They space was perfect for our needs. The trains built on our theme and we were able to incorporate some of the museum elements into our program. I'm a bit of a train nerd myself having a teenage son so it was really cool to check out all of the history in the building. And the building itself is a piece of Munich history. Absolutely worth the visit.

Quite the let down, based on all the flyers and posters around the city. Can't really recommend it, even though it is just 3 Euro entrance. If you have nothing else to do you can spend an hour there with the kids. "Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum" is bigger and more interesting.

Best place to visit with kids, specially if it is raining outside. The staff is super friendly and there are smiles everywhere. You can go inside old trams and buses and also ask questions and read about the history. They also have a small play area with wooden and electric train tracks and trains. Also have a small cafe. It is not open every weekend so better check the website before going.

A good place for larger events. I have yet to visit a regular exhibit, though.
