The Old Synagogue stood at the Theater Freiburg, today there is the place of the synagogue. Synagogues were ravished and destroyed during National Socialism, or that happened during World War II. It was found in the design of the square nor foundation stones, a construction for the culture of memory is planned.
The new synagogue faces Karstadt and the back of the city library, from there is a good overview, as I have photographed them.
