Kunstmuseum Bremerhaven

It's a nice place to go if you are into modern art. Staff is friendly and very respectful. Also you can get to see the KunstHalle just on the other side of the road for few extra euros. The only downside is the gallery is kind of small, you'll finish it very quickly.

3 small and small but good collections are a good time to spend. It takes about an hour, the receptionist is kind and the luggage is stored.

Nice museum building with an excellent collection! I would not have expected both these qualities in Bremerhaven. The exhibition is very well curated and individual rooms will be remembered (Kwade, Schwontkowski). And if you want to see Gregor Schneider in a larger selection of works, you have anyway to Bremerhaven. The two gentlemen from the staff were very helpful and have provided me with proper information material.

... unfortunately not a good review! Unfortunately I cannot write anything about the content of the exhibition. The building is a functional building that looks bright and friendly. Easter 2018 ... a holiday that brings many tourists to Bremerhaven ... also on Easter Monday. The museum, like many other museums and restaurants, closed on Mondays ... I knew that. That's why I went to the box office of the Kunstmuseum on Saturday and asked about the opening hours for "Easter Monday". The answer was: "Of course we are open on Easter Monday!" ... In my opinion, Easter Monday is also a special case ... and it should be open. Tourism, visitors to the city and so does my family. When we stood at the door of the art museum (2:00 p.m.) on Easter Monday: You guessed it ... it was closed! I was ... and still am: Pissed off ... The lady on the phone this morning got my anger ... She can't help it ... but dear Kunstverein: Please never moan about bad visitor numbers or donations or other funds request from the city ... The city, including me, would not understand that. Long live art ... even in the hidden ... Ciao
