Extra-Tours

For many years I have been going on my trips with Extratours and I can only recommend it to everyone! No matter whether day trips or round trips, you are in good hands here. No mass processing but trips in small groups to the most beautiful places on the island and at fair prices. Real class organizer !!!

Great experience! With Andreas in a small, very nice group, we did the off-road jeep safari. No sales tour as offered by many other providers. No amusement park experience, but real outback. Only the minibus from the hotel to the venue was a bit small and uncomfortable for me.

Too bad that the holiday is over. The excursions we did with Andreas and Irene from Extra Tours were really great. We made a private jeep safari with Andreas. Several hours by jeep through rough terrain, to an impressive waterfall where we could swim alone. Respectfully, he also paid attention to my partner's handicapped son (Down Syndrome) when we had to walk there on the not quite unproblematic way and also when Andreas crossed a suspension bridge with him. He later introduced us to a "jungle" family and we were allowed to see their house there before a delicious Dominican lunch. Andreas is just a very prudent and forward-looking guy, with a lot of humor and knowledge about the country and people, which he also competently mediates. As a further tour, we did the tour to Samana with Irene with which we experienced great beaches and also an impressive market. Irene, too, was very competent and was able to answer every question well. Throughout the tour, Irene told us and told us a lot about the history of the country or simply what was happening around us. The Tropical River Tour was also very interesting we visited a great garden not far from Cabarete. Here Andreas informed us about the local botany and wildlife. Afterwards we made a small trip over a river into the sea where it was possible to swim. Then there was delicious grilled fish or chicken and cocoloco from a fresh coconut. The mountain and valley tour, with Irene through the mountains to Santiago and there to a cigar factory was also very impressive. Irene always had information. Also information that you do not even get. In Santiago, it was a bit hectic because in the city a bit more bustle prevails, but Irene has always had us in view and we never had the feeling to get lost. Finally, after this tour we would have been happy to join the Dominicans in the water. Maybe that could be included as a conclusion, provided the time is right. Whatever was very nice, all groups were relatively small with 6 to 8 people. You never got the feeling of being simply handled or even being led into souvenir shops. All agreements and appointments were super maintained. The communication with Gabi and Andreas was great, locally as well as from home. Also priced it was perfect. At any rate, we would never book through the major tour operators who advertise in the hotels. All in all, we can only write that we had a great time with you with many experiences and impressions.
