HOSTERIA QUINTA CARLOTA COUNTRY HOUSE

Nice hotel to relax and wait for your flight. Excellent free airport shuttle.

Beautiful older hacienda on lovely grounds, which include an inground pool, garden, flowers, 2 dogs, outdoor patio and much more. You can purchase dinner or lighter fare in addition to beer and wine. Filtered water is always available hot or cold. Free pick up and drop off to the airport. You will go over 2 stretches of cobblestone roads which will last about 8 min. Hot water was spotty and TV would not come on. We just did not have time to ask for help, since we were not sleeping over. Just spending 8 hrs here between flights.

While the actual place was beautiful and the people were nice, it was too far away from anything to be remotely enjoyable. It seems super close to the airport but there is no direct route and so it takes 20 minutes and a very very bumpy ride on an old stone road to get there. It takes $30 to get into the city proper, so unless you're only staying for a night or will only stay in the hotel the whole time, you'd better find somewhere else.

Excellent place for overnight

Although the road to Quinta Carlota is very winding and lonely (must use a taxi!) once you get there you feel like you made it to paradise. Their door staff is 24/7. Their private rooms have 3 queen size beds and private baths. WiFi in lobby, that almost reaches to the rooms but not quite. It is a remote neighborhood of Quito so not the most ideal location but a fantastic helpful staff and great accomodations
