Cascada El Pailon (del Diablo)

This is an absolutely beautiful place to visit! Beautiful waterfall views, astounding swinging bridge. A great place to go with friends and family to enjoy the great outdoors. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property where you can view one of the tallest, largest waterfalls in Ecuador. There are 2 viewing locations to see the Pailon del Diablo waterfall but “Isla del Pailon” is where the best views are and you can get right but next to the waterfall and take incredible pictures. It can be a little difficult to find but if you ask a local for “La Isla” they’ll point you in the right direction.

Words like "magical" and "spiritual" tend to get thrown around pretty loosely, but they're the first ones I notice in my mind when I think about the place. We had the privilege of living in Ecuador for 30 years, and the privilege of visiting this spot many times -- although nowhere near as often as I would have liked. It is one of the primary areas I miss like crazy, a little over a year after being jolted into southern California. If you have even a tiny "adventurous spirit," and any appreciation of the beauty of nature, I would say you gotta see it. Any description I could try to give wouldn't cut it.

The Pailon del Diablo is a beautiful waterfall and the Isla del Pailon has a perfect view! The bridge overlooking the waterfall and river is is picturesque. It is definitely a must-see for anyone wanting to experience nature or the Amazon. Looking forward to going back as soon as I can.

What a unique and spectacular place! Stunning views, winding paths and up-close waterfall viewing decks. Well maintained, a plethora of jungle flora, birds, and VERY reasonable. This is a "don't miss" when in the area.
