David is very helpful and pleasant, the hostel is clean, in a great location and fair price.

Just get away from this hostel. David, the owner does not even great you, he opens the door and just listens to music and ignores you. I had seen that he had a double room for 8 dollars and my hostel world app wasn’t working well so I had to go and ask directly. David told me that room was booked and he only had another one for 12 dollars and I found it to be ridiculous. So I checked online and exactly when I was booking he changed the price just to be ridiculous. This guy clearly doesn’t know how to treat his friends since he is supposed to treat the customers like friends. Or maybe he only allows friends?? Who knows! Then he acted rude and told me to leave because I told him that he just changed the room’s price that is clearly still available. Rudest person ever!

The worst place I have stayed in my life does not accept criticism of his ugly little boy in an inefficient place. I had an accident with a knife and he told me to die of bleeding and threw my money sending me to the street in the city of Quito. dangerous and I being a foreigner

We were disappointed with David's hostel. Well placed, near the historic center, it could be more welcoming. However, the too many rules of life displayed everywhere in the apartment, the absence of a living room where to share with other residents and the prohibitive prices of the services made us disillusioned. To give a few examples, this is the first time in 2 months of travel: - that it is forbidden to bring beers back to a hostel (you have to buy those sold by David), - that the check-out is at 10 a.m. (too early) - that breakfast is served between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (don't miss out!) Plus, the $ 10 laundry left us with a bitter taste ... it's expensive for a can of laundry!
