Awesome place ocean view of course clean rooms and shared kitchen a cleaning lady comes everyday and every two days she changes your sheets very close to the beach definitely five stars

You won’t want to leave!! This place is like a magical treehouse with the most beautiful view of the ocean and the sounds of exotic birds at night. The rooms are spacious and cozy all at the same time, perfectly crafted with all the shelving and little nooks for your belongings. The shower is hot, and the water pressure is surprisingly good. Vistamar has wonderful common areas for relaxing in, including various hammocks and couches, gathering and eating places for socializing, and a large terrace that is often used for yoga but available for sunbathing and sightseeing during all other non-yoga times. This little secret garden hotel is a dream come true. I will be back as soon as I can - it was so hard to leave!! Thank you Matteo for being the best host and sharing such a wonderful place with the world.

It's a beautiful place, with views of the sea. The interior and exterior have been done with taste and catch the eyes with interesting details created of mostly natural materials. There is a kitchen for the guests and a lounge area.

Matteo, the owner, was an incredible host. He has built a beautiful retreat from everyday life for his guests. Matteo was attentive to every detail and need. He made this a fun, relaxing and adventurous vacation for me. The town of Ayampe is very simple, set in a beautiful, undisturbed location on the ocean. Vistamar is only a very short walk from the beach. Vistamar has a few rooms, along with the 3 floor yoga platform with beautiful views of the Pacific. The rooms are very large, and mine had a large sitting area in front of the bedroom. The beds are comfortable and also have mosquito netting. I loved the rain shower, hot & cold water and it had great pressure. I also spent time in the relaxing hammock and the chair swing outside my room, watching the sunset. There is a sitting area on main level, surrounded by beautiful flowers and landscaping. There is a large dining table and local chefs prepare delicious meals with locally sourced fresh ingredients, including beautiful presentations. It was such a treat to eat healthy, with so much fruit, guacamole, fish, meat, etc. I am not even a breakfast eater, but these were mouth watering...see pictures. The whole week at Vistamar was such a treat and very hard to leave. Matteo had organized yoga daily, surf lessons, a massage, boat trip, snorkeling and a special trip to Isla de Planta. Matteo thought of every detail and ensured I enjoyed myself and was I able to get an insight into the local culture and people. He is very engaged and active in the local community. His passion for Ecuador, Ayampe and the people have made positive impacts upon the area and those who visit. VIstamar attracts a diverse group of people and I truly enjoyed meeting so many friendly and interesting guests and locals from various backgrounds. I can't wait to return!!

Beautiful stay. Vistamar is top in terms of views, services, people, uniquness, and activities in my opinion. I eneded up staying at Vistamar for over a month even though I only booked for two weeks before arrival. Definately recommended!
