El Colibrí

This hostel is owned by a very sweet, young couple with two small children. Not only were they kind but also very helpful recommending certain activities and spots around Baños. I got an individual room for $15/night with a really beautiful view of the mountains. The location was very central, close to the market where you can have very cheap meals, and less than a block away from a park that is located at the very center of town. Clean room, great WiFi, hot water. You could hear a bit of noise during night time from late party goers and sometimes cars. It didn't bother me because I always carry ear plugs with me when I travel. I would definitely stay here again.

The attention was bad. We went for the day of the dead holiday and despite paying for a transfer in advance, they had my friends waiting until they confirmed that day because there was not good communication between them. The bathrooms do not have good ventilation and one of the beds in the room caused itching. They also offered parking this time but they did not have it.
