Geotours Ecuador

Had the best day rafting with William (our guide) and also William (safety kayaker)! I highly recommend this tour company and will likely be booking another tour with them before our time is up in Banos! Multiple friends have used Geotours before, and I'm happy I took their recommendations. Bonus: William our Kayaker took some excellent photos and videos (shared at no extra cost) which have had us reliving our experience over and over since! Update: I also did a half day Canyoning tour of Rio Blanco with Medardo as our guide. It was a really great experience, and had the added bonus of Medardo being a naturalist guide and showing us a lot of interesting plants and fruits along the way!

Hello to all traveling friends I share my experience in this place. This is my favorite travel site for many aspects mainly because of its attention is the best in the world, from the information in its office to its Guides. We practiced the sport of canyoning with Andres - guide - who took us to meet and enjoy this excellent professional adventure. If you visit BAÑOS you must go to GEOTOURS they are the BEST.

My boyfriend and I did the white water rafting. It was so much fun! We chose to be in the front so we definitely received the bulk of the waves it was intense (in a good way). The tour guides were great with getting everyone in wet suits and shoes and also training us on all of the different rafting “movements”. We also did a dry run on the ground just getting used to following the directions. We had Pat as our boat captain and he was hilarious. Overall, it was such a neat experience working in a team environment and almost “fighting” for your life against the elements. The lunch was also some of the best food I’ve had in ecuador! Thanks!

We shopped around town and went to various agencies, and despite this one being very slightly more expensive ($5 on some of the activities) they were absolutely worth the extra spend. They explained that their price is set this way as their equipment is newer and they include additional staff for safety, and they didn't disappoint on either front. We went rafting and were the only company with a safety kayak following the boat (which was much needed as various people fell in) who also took photos along the way (included in the price). During our week in Baños, we did the rafting, canyoning, ziplining, rock climbing and biking on the ruta de las cascadas (the bikes, helmets and safety kit were all in great condition, not like some others we say along the way) - all booked through Geotours - the staff were phenomenal too. A huge thanks to William, Andreas, Herman, Pablo, Erwin, and the rest of team (sorry for anyone not mentioned), you made our stay in Baños one to remember! A 5 star company all around.

Our trips with Geotours were the absolute best of my sister’s and my time in Ecuador. If I could give them more than five stars, I would! We did all our tours with them- whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and canyoning. All of the staff and our guides were knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and made us feel completely comfortable with the activities. We had more fun than we even thought was possible, and the free (and amazing) photos & videos were an amazing touch to relive the experiences! In addition to the tours, we rented bikes for a day, which ended up being a little bit more expensive than other agencies, but our bikes had much better tires and brakes than our friends’ who rented elsewhere, which was great since most of the biking is downhill. They also went above and beyond in setting us up with a shuttle operator to take us straight to the airport from Baños, so we could spend more time in the city. All around incredible experiences- I can’t recommend Geotours enough.
