Galapagos Sunset Hotel

The hotel was not accommodating with me when I tried to get a refund. We had to move our travel from October to May and I was going to stay with them again, but since they wouldn’t transfer my money or refund me, I will not. Rebooking an international trip with many stops has been very difficult and these hotels can be somewhat accommodating. Even a partial refund would have been appreciated.

wonderful family owned hotel. everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. as soon as I walked in the door they provided a map with places to eat and sightsee. they called a taxi to take me to where i wanted to go - and the driver waited for me while i explored. beautiful view from all floors. very spacious rooms with a crazy cool door.

This hotel was perfect. The location is ideal just on the main street overlooking the harbour, and the hotel itself is very clean and modern. The breakfast was decent providing eggs made to order and cereals. Was perfect for what we needed. Also very close to restaurants and local mini Market just next door.

Very impressed overall with this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the staff members also does private taxi tours of the highlands which was WELL worth the $50/person (pay the extra $20 to have the guide vs just a taxi driving you around, best $20 extra I've ever spent). Hotel itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Optional $20 bottle of wine in the room was delicious and worth it. Morning breakfast is included and worth waking up early for (served 7-8:30). For a "3 star" hotel I was incredibly impressed. It's worth paying 1/3 of the price to stay here compared to the Golden Bay (though go to the Golden Bay for food and drinks). Highly recommend for your stay on the island.
