Cabañas Bambú Mindo

Nice wooden cabins in a large area of lawn and wooded gardens with a good size outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Good family place and a walk out of town which has its benefits. Nice place to hang out and relax for a few days.

Looks good and people are kind, the problem is that you will probably want to go and walk to the town which is not a problem in the day but in the evening or night it's pretty spooky, the road is dark and not that easy to walk on so you will need to take a cab back.

The place is really beautiful and in my past experience, Bambu hotels are very warm and good, however, my experience in Mindo was ruined because the only employee who was managing the hotel that night was very rude to me. Problems with the dinner and the hot pool caused that i decided to leave at 10pm instead of staying the night. I was sad, because i wanted to wake up with the forrest, but that employee caused too much tension to stay. I speculate that as the hotel was almost empty, the woman on charge had invited her friends to use the bar and the pool, so because of that, she refused to prepare food or the pool for the actual guests. I dont think is appropiate to do that in your work place; she really did not care about the hotel. I think this can be avoided by arriving with a reservation so the general management knows you are comming, but as I arrived spontaneously, sadly this happened.
