Hotel Sol del Oriente

I was greeted by a nice gentleman at 3:00 a.m. The hotel is older but seems to be pretty clean overall My bed sheets were clean and the TV and the room is new Definitely suits a male budget traveler as the rooms are only $12 per night

I thought it was okay. The beds were decent, although the sheets were so thin you could see through them. My girlfriend felt the place was dirty. We stayed at Hotel Angeles the first two nights and it was significantly cleaner, however, the beds were so uncomfortable we had to leave. The bed at Hotel Sol del Oriente was a bit more comfortable. Pros: Hot water and good water pressure. Decent bed. Good location close to a breakfast buffet, ice cream shops, bars, etc. The street gets a little sketch at night, but that's just the part of town, not their fault. Internet is also fast for hotel-standards (about 17 Mbps). Cons: In hindsight I do agree that the place felt a little dirty. The kind of place where you wear sandals in the room and in the shower (which we did). I didn't hate the experience, but I wouldn't return. There are other hotels I'd take a gamble on in Macas before returning to this one. Thanks though for the place to stay for a night.

Only one star because they try to mislead the eventual clients by saying there are no hotels providing a breakfast !! Hotel Angeles(which I think is the best for now) and hostal Casa Blanca (which has some nice rooms in a garden)are serving breakfast for sure.

My visit to the province of Zamora Chinchipe

It is not one of the best but at least it has the minimum comforts to be able to rest. It seems misplaced to me that they charge an extra for garage. If you do not want to keep your vehicle in the garage, you can leave it on the street, it is a very busy and safe area.
