I enjoyed the Aya Huma Free Walking Tour in the night through Otavalo. Juan, the guide, was a very friendly and open minded local. He also speaks good English in case your Spanish isn't that good. The topic of the night tour was traditional and historic stories of the local community, kind of horror stories. Kudos to Juan, who did this tour only for me. You should contact him in advance, to make sure there is a tour, because without any reservations he won't show up at the meeting point, which is totally reasonable in my opinion. I had the opportunity to visit Otavalo the last week and I took the two tours at morning and at night. I really liked the experience and the guide guy work very professionally. He are in the meeting point at set time. Juan Carlos the guide guy is very friendly and explain all about his city and culture interactively, also about Plaza de los Ponchos, the principal church, the histories at night tour was very interesting.
