La Jungla Tropical Bungalows

Excellent accomodation In Mompiche!! Stayed 6 nights, November 2019 Rooms are clean and tidy, mosquito nets need replacing. Good bed and linen. Cold water shower. OK WIFI connection. Very good indoor/outdoor lounge and kitchen with excellent fridge and good gaz hobs and plates and cutlery. Excellent location, walking distance to cafes and bars. This place is fantastic if you've ever wanted to live like Swiss family Robinson perched right out over the beach. Awesome views and very funky, jungla set-up. There appears to be several bungalows operated by these guys. We were in the large 3 level one right on the beach as you pass la chocolate and the pizza place just before the road stops. Get the top level with private bathroom if it's available, the views are fantastic and it's really spacious with hammock included. We ended up staying over a week and didn't want to leave. Amazing views of the beach and nice bungalows.

The bungalows are very well kept and clean, constructed in bamboo with a lot of vegetation around it, gives you the feel of being in the jungle, when it rains can get quite damp, and a lot of mosquitos will come and hang out with you, so a lot of. Repellent will do the trick, the bed has a needed net, and the toilets are cool outside with cold water for shower, you don't need hot water at all ,as the weather is hot enough. Few steps from the beach and the main Street, cool funky place to stay, friendly owner and helpful staff recommend it!!!

The bungalows are cute and the staff is friendly however they are over priced compared to all other locations in Mompiche. It includes less (breakfast and no hot water) for a much higher price than average. It's right next to the beach and if you have the budget why not.
