The Secret Garden Cotopaxi

The staff is amazing. Antonio and Charlie went out of their way to ensure all activities were planned and everything ran smoothly. They were so great. The meals were delicious, the volunteers so friendly. The common area has a really great vibe, the only downside to this place is I couldn’t stay longer! I stayed in the birdhouse and it had the most amazing view to wake up to! If you go to Ecuador, secret garden Cotopaxi is a must.

Stayed here four nights - incredible place. The scenery surrounding the hostel is gorgeous. The complementary waterfall hike is super fun and the horseback riding in the National Park was beautiful. The common area is very communal and is a great place to hang out and meet people. The food is delicious, and the jacuzzi is a great unexpected amenity. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of our favorite places we stayed in 6 weeks of traveling through Central America. Highly recommend!!

I stayed here four nights. They have 3 recommended hikes that should be attempted. Great views of Cotopaxi area can be seen if the weather is good.

The Secret Garden Cotopaxi is spectacular. The meals, the staff, the amenities, and the adventures are all amazing. Would recommend them to all fellow travelers.

A truly unique place. Second time of staying here (in Nov 2020), having visited for first time in 2018. It had always been a dream to return. The lodge has spectacular uninterrupted views of surrounding landscape, including the majestic Cotopaxi. If you are looking for a special atmosphere – cosy, disconnected from the city hustle and bustle, wildflowers, wholesome food, friendly dogs, evening fires and great people – then this is a must-visit. There is a great selection of activities and you will be guaranteed to leave having had an unforgettable experience. Also, some of best stars I have seen around world (rivalling Atacama Desert).
