Pasochoa. Cumbre Sur.

A very nice summit. It is not that difficult to get there. And it does not present major technical difficulty. The view is spectacular when it is clear. There are several mountains around that can be seen in clear weather, recommended for lovers of mountaineering.

Excellent place for trekking in the morning, you can enjoy the landscapes, the good weather and excellent air to enjoy academic activities outdoors. The route is very well marked by many climbs that have been made, it is not more difficult and it takes 3 hours to the southern summit.

PASOCHOA - GREAT

El Pasochoa is an ancient and heavily eroded volcano, inactive since the ice age. It is very accessible from any direction since it is partially isolated in the inter-Andean valley; in the middle of the Machachi valley, surrounded by extensive agricultural and livestock fields. Its last explosive eruption left a collapsed caldera to the west, covered by dense forest that is now a protected nature reserve. The crater walls have two peaks. The southern peak can be accessed from Machachi or from Amaguaña, it is slightly higher than the north (4010 masl)
