We loved our visit to the Arajuno Jungle Lodge! Tom and Charo were great to visit with and knowledgeable about birds, plants and the region. We’ll be back to visit again. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Ecuador! Great birding here also!

Wonderful time! Tom is an excellent host and can put together a great experience for you. Arajuno is more accessible than some of the more well publicized destinations down the Napo. You can fit in a great primary rain forest experience here, even if your time is short. We'll be back!

The Arajuno Jungle Lodge is an incredible piece of property located in the Amazon rain forest, nestled beside the beautiful Arajuno River. The area is absolutely gorgeous, the food/accommodation was spectacular as was the owner (Tom) and staff. There are many activities from swimming in the river, walking amongst the primary forest trails, tubing the tranquil Arajuno River to visiting the nearby animal rehabilitation center. 100% would recommend!

This lodge is not what it claims to be. I’m a scientist and frequently travel to remote locations for work. I was at the lodge with a group of scientists and students and we were treated very poorly by the owner. His conservation projects are a sham. He had my group perform farm labor to the point of injury and wouldn’t relent, and he canceled planned educational programming for the students in order to have them do more manual labor. I know this sounds like a joke review or an exaggeration and I truly wish it were. I do not recommend giving any money to one man’s personal pipe dream that masquerades as a place to stay.
