Rosedelco

Do NOT book tours with Rosedelco if you are visiting Isla Isabela during the pandemic. Their website is still showing as functional and will allow you to book tours and pay for them with Paypal, but DON'T do it!! Most of the tour operators I looked up in Isla Isabela weren't offering day trips to Los Tuneles, which is where I was most interested in going on the island. The reason why the other tour operators aren't offering this tour is because at the time I booked the tour (beginning of October 2020), the tour operators and the local government weren't able to reach agreements with doing tours at that particular location, so no tours were being allowed to operate there. No one from Rosedelco reached out to me after I had booked the tours to let me know that Los Tuneles were closed to all tour operators, and that they themselves were closed for all tours. I had to hear this from my Airbnb host and another tour operator who I ended up using, Pahoehoe. Rosedelco is currently closed and not doing any tours. When we were on Isabela two weeks ago (mid-October 2020), we walked by their office everyday to check if they were open to try to get our refund for the two tours we had booked through them (Los Tuneles and Sierra Negra). They were closed everyday. I've contacted the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism and they have responded to me that they will look into this. I have yet to receive a refund even though Rosedelco has told me that they would issue it multiple times, when I contacted them on Whatsapp. They have been completely unprofessional with this situation, and I would NOT recommend booking with them. I booked tours with Pahoehoe instead and HIGHLY recommend them due to their professionalism and communication.

After staying on a cruise boat for 1 week, we spend some time on Isabela and booked three trips with Rosedelco. The first to the volcano started 1 hour late, on the volcano the guide lost part of the group because he did not care about keeping the hikers together. He was neither very motivated nor very knowledgeable and cut the bark of one tree just to show how nice the tree starts "bleeding". Not for the first time, because the tree was covered all over with scares. That's about how to behave in a national park. The next two trips were about snorkeling. On the first trip the guide brought a small child (his niece?) and was only taking of her to provide her a good experience, unfortunately not for the rest of the group. While snorkeling he lead us to a place where penguins are residing, clearly marked as an non-snorkerling area... On the second snorkeling trip a group member could not swim(!) resulting in the guide towing her through the water, again neglecting his duties to the others in the group. How on earth can you take people that cannot swim out in the ocean to snorkel? That's a reckless behauviour dangerous for the whole group. All that said I recommend to try another tour operator.

Very nice folks, I rent a bike and did a kayak tour. Everything was well-organized and they were so helpful with me and my bag. When I came back just on time from my bike trip for the next activity, my group was already waiting for me at the beach so one lady drove me there "express"!

Single room for $20. Very clean, water supplied. Kitchen available at extra cost. Close to ferry / Concha Perla and town. In addition to tours offered. Friendly advise on local places to visit.

We took two day trips with this tour company. Both were a lot of fun, would definitely recommend the Los Tuneles tour.
