Estancia la Colina

I'm a photographer and have been backpacking solo around the world now for 2 and a half years. I stayed at Estancia la Colina for a week, just after Christmas 2018 and through the New Year. I am so glad to have stayed here! A recent death in the family had me somewhat distraught and I also arrived with my backpack soaked in shrimp juice from the cargo hold of the bus. It stank mightily! Cristina had to spend at least 3 washes to get the smell out! My experience there is that I could not have been in a better place at that time. I extended my stay after arriving, but I sincerely wish I had stayed even longer. It was so peaceful on that hill in those cabins and was just what I needed. The cabins are beautiful, clean, and comfortable with a scenic view. There are fruit trees throughout the well-maintained property. The place is simply gorgeous and serene. They checked on me often and it was the first time in quite a while that I was getting 3 home-cooked meals a day! They treated me like family and after just losing my brother, I am forever grateful for that. I would highly, highly recommend anyone considering a stay here to simply go ahead and make your reservation. I will definitely make it a point to return when I am in that part of the world again. I love this place. I'm thankful for Cristina and her family and everything they did for me.

Totally satisfied. The service was great, the place is a paradise, you will feel the peace that only the nature contact could offer. The food was great. I slept wonderful surrounded by trees, at the morning I heard the birds singing. They have some friendly dogs and off course y played with them by a while. Five stars for sure.

Beautiful setting above El Rio Toachi just outside of town, cozy cabins, good food, very friendly service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend this hotel
