Mirador MANDANGO

Great views of Vilcabamba. Difficult near the top on a windy day with loose gravel on a steep slope. Worth the effort.

This is worth the hike, very windy and very narrow in places, not for anyone that is scared of hikes. Getting to the cross isn't to hard, last push at the end and you will be rewarded with a lovely view. After the cross is another platform for great photos. If you are brave the head down slightly and take the path around the edge of the cliff. Seriously there is not turning back so only go if you are an experienced hiker as some parts are very tricky. I had to get on all fours at some points just to get across the sdge. But the ridge does make for some good photos. Just be careful of the wind as it is strong and can be gusty.

This was a great hike to the top of the mountain. It was a little difficult to find the beginning of the trail because the grass was grown up, but once on the trail it was easy to follow. The hike gets strenuous at times, particularly near the top, but the views are fantastic. Don't forget the sunscreen.

Beautiful view, easy hike. It's fun things to do while you're in area .

It's an amazing place, you can reach the view point on foot from vilcabamba, but it's better not to go alone.
