Hostal Inka Huasi

For anyone who is looking for culture, nature and tranquility. The owner's name is Jose Ignacio Caisabanda and the guest house is called Inka Huasi. It is a short drive from the main road, situated in the remote community of Wasalata. The village is quiet, tranquil and low populated with the majority of the surrounding land used for farming and agriculture. The guest house is situated at the top of the village and it’s a traditional construction of a two-story building crafted by Jose himself. The interior is a beautiful combination of old and new materials, with each wall covered in tapestries. Walking within the space to the left is a cosy sitting room with a large fireplace, straight on is a large communal space and a small corner studio right at the end. The communal kitchen space has everything that one might need and there is usually delicious food on offer prepared by local cooks. Both the ground floor and top floor have a number of guest rooms and in total the space can accommodate 25 individuals. On the outside there is a small balcony that overlooks the front garden and the workshop space to the right-hand side. Within the surrounding area there are impressive landscapes and natural trails with spectacular views of the river Pachanlica and the distant farm lands. Donkeys, cows, sheep and pigs dominate the scenery, alongside aromatic eucalyptus trees and cabuya or penco cactuses.
