In the 20th century, several new buildings were built in the central part of the manor and in the immediate vicinity of it, for this reason, the manor turned into a village. Historically, a deep valley ran from Van-I will leave through Karula Manor. Today, only parts of the alley that were in the vicinity of the estate remained from this road. There is no bridge over the Tanassilma River.
