There are two type of markings on the trees which leads the way. Older ones are blue and cover the trail shown on the car park trail map. Orange markings will take you to Alutaguse Sports Center (ca 5km from car park). So our 5 km trail became close to 10-11 km trail. This time children were not happy :) Also I could not find any fireplace around Martiska lake.

Good access to the lakes but the navi could be in one.

Slightly mountainous hiking trail. It is not flat and in terms of passing it is not possible to take into account the normal walking speed. 2.5h passes without breaks. In the meantime, you had to climb a very narrow path in the woods. Higher water levels can cause problems with dry feet. Towards the end, the signage was confusing - we followed the blue spots, but it turned out on the map that we were still lost somewhere. We understood from the map, but in terms of marking, it is a question. They didn't understand where to look for something else and whether the search would have continued at all. The track was also disturbed by open dogs who had come to rest by the lake with their owners. Otherwise definitely one of the most beautiful trails in Estonia and deserves the title of 55 most beautiful hiking trails.

Great stay. Fresh air, pine forest. Many lakes. Skiing in winter, hiking in summer etc. There are hotels and food. From the district capital 10 km.

The route is not so comfortable. The path passes almost always along the roots of the trees and around many branches. With children I do not recommend.
