Clean city with lots of green spaces and great cycle paths. There is no insecurity in front of large complexes as in France. People drive very nice, often recent cars. The factories of chemical industry are sometimes presented by the smell but that is what makes the wealth of the city and gives jobs.

Although it is a Russian-speaking city and town government, the best choice of books in Estonian in the county (far better than in the Jõhvi Central Library). Librarians of Russian nationality, but always asking for a pleasant and fast service in Estonian.
