Krenholm Manufacturing Company

Great experience of past industrial might an d reminder that some time ago industrial architecture meant beauty and not ugly boxes.

Kreenholm was a massive textile industry that operated in 1857-2010. From April until October there are guided tours (1.5 hours, 10€ adults). Unfortunately it's mostly outside, so you won't see the production rooms, offices etc (maybe you'll be luckier than me). However, it was still impressive to see how this place may have looked like over 100 years ago. Kreemholm even won Grand Prix in the 1900 Paris Exposition.

Some interesting buildings and history here. A beautiful location. Pretty cool bring able to see into Russia from here too.

Genuinely one of the most amazing places I've had the pleasure of spending time. A sprawling factory complex that straddles the border between Estonia and Russia. If you get a chance to visit you would be completely nuts to miss out on this fascinating piece of history, once Europe's largest textile factory

Historical place, beautiful industrial architecture of the end of 19 century. Tours usually take place on Sundays from spring to autumn, more info about dates and time search from Narva Muuseum. Very atmospheric place for some music festivals etc
