It is a good walk around the old city. Makes for a good one day tour. We arrived in the morning from Helsinki and left close to 4. Grab a map of the local area and have fun walking around.

Ordinary castle. Nothing to expect much. It has a great importance to Estonians but as a tourist don’t expect much to see. It is a good starting point to explore the city as it is located in the highest part of Tallinn. The castle has a view of the back part of the city.

As a fan of Viewpoints, Tallinn knew how to tickle my fancy. At the castle 's viewpoint you get amazing views from the north side of the city. In sunny days it gets even better. Do expect crowds of tourists, but nothing too dramatic. Most are from cruisers tours and they don't linger around for too long. Enjoy!
