The majestic building was, it is a pity that it was abandoned.

Very wonderful sight, little remains, but little has been preserved, it is a pity that no one continues to deal with it and blows into life.

Pargiääre tee, Mäo, Paide vald, Järvamaa 58.912157, 25.612472 58 ° 54 '43.77 ", 25 ° 36' 44.90" The first mention of Central Estonia, located at an important crossroads, the Miao manor, dates back to the 16th century. The manor received its name by the name of the then owners of von Meck. At the end of the 17th century, the manor belonged to von Fersham, after the Northern War von Shtakelberg, von Loewenstern, and also von Essen. The last owner of the manor, before the 1919 nationalization period, was Alexandra von Groenewaldt. The two-storey manor house was built at the end of the 17th century, at the time when the manor belonged to von Feuren. During the Northern War, the building was destroyed, and in the 18th century, on the old foundation, as well as using the walls of the past house, built a new building. In the 1820s and 30s, the building underwent a thorough restructuring, the new building was built in the style of the classicism era. The construction has become higher. At that time, the building was distinguished by the presence of three-part arched windows, the so-called Venetian windows. The building was decorated with a portico with four columns. In 1960-70, the building, from which only the ruins remained, began to be restored. At that time, only new ceilings and roofs could be built, after which the work stopped. Only the box is preserved from the building, most of the architectural details are destroyed. Many of the remaining manor house premises have been restructured. The last owner of the manor was Alexander fn Gruenevaldt, who was the niece of the famous Russian composer, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908). The composer spent several summer seasons at the Miao Manor. Here he arranged numerous home concerts.
