Freedom Square

Very important square in Tallinn, place of the public demonstration for freedom from the Soviet Union. Great atmosphere

The look of this place changes all the time. During summer it is full of young people, mostly skaters. During winter it is decorated with some kind of christmas decorations. Sometimes it is also a location for festivals, concerts, demonstrations, gatherings.

Estonians are proud over their freedom and this can be seen on the Vabaduse väljak, The Freedom Square. The Christmas Lights on the square are marvellous! Tallinn has so much more to offer than Vanalinn, this square is always wort a visit!

The place to gather, celebrate and enjoy in modern Estonia. It's usually empty with a big open area, but when we have our holidays or special events, people gather, decorations are placed and fun begins ! Whenever Estonians protest or want their voice to be heard, this is one of the places to gather and do that. There is a monument placed here in order to remember our war for Independence, it's lit during the night and glows within. Underground there is a parking area, quite expensive, but the most convenient in the center of the town.

This place is clean, people are in peace and kindly. I like peace and quiet so I really had great time there.
