If there were no Covid, there would not even have been the problem: paying the passport fee. Instead it was very difficult due to the reduced hours of the bank branches .... USEFUL TO KNOW THAT THE SANTANDER ACCEPTS CASH PAYMENTS ONLY ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY, before 10:30 am., (I never imagined it) It was Friday. I am not a Santander customer and therefore could not pay at the automatic cash machine. ... So, before having an alpine meltdown, with Piedmontese curses, I decided to go directly to the Consulate and ... ask if there could be some other solution, for this payment and then get a passport! ... It was the Consul himself who, after a moment of sincere and shared amazement, for this rare inconvenience, and personally eliminated all the usual options that actually could not be practiced, found the Solution. Himself. Thanks to this, it was possible to make the blessed passport. Thanks????? ..... More! He is certainly an extremely kind and understanding person, our Consul here, in Gran Canaria, he, like all the staff that I have been able or not to meet. But the fact is that: They are not "only" kind, helpful and effective, they are also extremely patient. Because in this gesture of helping me in this anyway: little thing, while I was really desolate, there was also a lot of patience and understanding. Other types of cultures, and not just people, would never have done it: they wouldn't have even thought about it. They would have given me yet another appointment and ... "Goodbye and Thanks". Without taking into account in any way the personal difficulties, health, location in the area .... 👌 "Italy does not discriminate", on Friday morning, entering the Consulate, I heard this sentence. I was very pleased because it is true, although it is difficult to practice and implement. Then I was expected in such a welcoming way that it moved me. The kindness, availability, welcome and resilience of our officials represent our nation very well here. Yes our flag here also shines in the rain 👍 Italy Ok Italy! ----—------------ .... When I had not yet tried the consulate in Las Palmas, I already knew the effectiveness and efficiency of our homeland here, in Spain. On line problems ..... It also depends on the importance, the urgency, and the number itself that is called. Of course, however, let us always remember that, when we contact our consulate, we are turning to an actual Italian office in Italy, because the consulates are small pieces of the nation, even physically. Our offices in Italy are already overburdened. And in Italy there is one for each job !! Here, however, there is one for ALL the tasks. .... And we are many, living in Spain. .... Imagine that these ALL DOING offices really take care of us seriously. Back to the clogged lines ... Because? Has this ever happened to you in Italy? Yes, in Italy I get angry too, sometimes Here I am absolutely aware that it is different. I say W Italy! Despite the negative reviews I see that they haven't learned from their mistakes. As many have complained about the service, I also complain that no one answers you on the phone, and after a few calls it starts ringing busy .. sorry I didn't want to bother you.

A totally useless service .. work three days a week and when you do not respond to phone call, deliver an original and you forgiveness document, do not respond to emails and when you can talk with someone promise you things that will not make .. a complete disappointment
