I'm very disappointed with the service It's supposed to be open 24/7 I need help and nobody is there to help me. I tried all avenue and nobody is there and I can't phone. Please don't say you are open when you are not. All roads are leeding to a brick wall. So it's choose your own resting place or go back to the UK and die there. Personally i choose a beautiful resting place in Spain over a depressing place in the UK. So. Don't ask the British embassy for help unless it's for a ticket back to the nightmare you came from. Funny how the British government invites foreign nationals to come to the UK, get priority in housing and all benefits that are grudge to our own people. A car, and cash to start over. But the basic stuff is made impossible for us to go to another country. No wonder why the British nation is the laughing stock of the EU.

We found it! Nobody came to talk to us! Normal in Spain. Got a paper with info which could have been posted on line. Wasted a day of travelling and even didn't speak to anybody. Hard day in the office.

Wallet and passport got stolen but the response from the British Consulate and the support from London was wonderful and very quick thank you

Absolutely useless. I spent nine minutes (and yes, I did time it) being passed around recorded messages being asked to push buttons that only passed me on to the next recorded message until it was finally pointed me by -yes, a recorded message- that they weren´t taking messages because of yes- you´ve guessed it- the most famous of excuses- corunavirus. They obviously don´t want to communicate with the public but didn´t have the nouse just to say it upfront. Pathetic.

Myself and my wife are in lockdown in Spain due to ferries being cancelled, as both of us have heart conditions I emailed the consulate using their contact form to enquire about travel from Spain through France, this was about a week ago and as yet I have had no reply or acknowledgement to my question. I had contacted my insurance company to ask about extending my policy, they said I had to contact the consulate to see what they could do, with no reply we are now in limbo with regard to getting home and extending our travel insurance. I appreciate that they will be under immense pressure at present but I would have thought the courtesy of a reply is the least we should expect, very disappointed.
