My thanks to Dr. Enrique Zapata and his team for the kindness and attention with which they treated me last Tuesday night due to a blood pressure surge. Today I feel much better. Great professionals.
My thanks to all the medical team, to Dr. Aníbal Vega, nurses, orderlies, administration staff, kitchen staff, cleaning staff, for the excellent service and good treatment that my son Ángel has received during his stay in the hospital. All perfect. Great food service.
Thank you all very much on behalf of the Engelmo Duran family.
Good morning, I can tell you about my experience with this Hospital that, for me, allowed my Mother to die.
My mother had been waiting for two months for a holter monitor to be put on her and they never called her, they gave her many tachycardias and a week before she was admitted they took her by ambulance to the Hospital, they never wanted to admit her and they sent her home they said that the thing was not there as to enter.
We entered the emergency week with my mother who had suffered a schematic stroke, the doctor told us that to get out of danger they had to spend 48 hours.
We spent those 48 hours and they repeated the tests, performed a CT scan and an echocardiogram. The doctor spoke to us again and told us that my mother was out of danger, that she would not die from the stroke.
my mother spoke and moved half of her body, memory and speech was perfect.
That was the first week, but after 5 days and falling on a weekend that it seems that no one works there, my mother became more ill.
I called the nurses because I saw that my mother had a lot of phlegm and it was difficult for her to breathe.
They only gave him the medication and if I insisted they did aspirations, (BUT IF I INSISTED) until I got tired and asked to speak to the emergency doctor who took 4 hours to come and the news he gave me was the worst of my life .
He gave me his condolences and told me that my mother was dying of a stroke (this was last Sunday) On Monday the internist came to talk to me and told me that my mother was fine that she was not dying that the aftermath of the stroke They are the ones that would stay but nothing else, that from now on the only drawback that we could find would be infections.
My mother got better, she had a lot of phlegm but they ignored me, they only inhaled her and put her medicine, as the hospital staff was already tired, because of my insistence that they treat my mother.
The people at the hospital no longer paid attention to me and when I called them with the room button, they turned it off and I had to go out and call them personally (not all the nurses were bad people, that is also clear)
I have to say that there were free rooms and rooms with a single person in better condition than my mother. But they decided to put a person who was dying in my mother's room, during the two hours that the poor woman lasted, my mother and I were watching as that lady agonized while dying. Not happy with that, two days later they put another poor woman in with horrible pain from pancreatitis and the poor thing kept screaming.
A pcr did it, which was strange to me and I asked one of the nefarious nurses who was there at that time, if that woman could be with corovid-19, and if my mother was like this, that bustle of people was normal, obviously I did not want my mother to be infected and to complicate her condition even more, to which I was told that I did not know it and how good it was that if my mother was infected, then what was there. to which I replied, that I would file a complaint with the hospital. That woke her up and I quickly called the head of the plant, changing my mother's room, but on Wednesday my mother began to have complications when it came to breathing, I insisted that they carry out tests to find out what could be causing that problem, but until Friday they ignored me, finally they did a chest X-ray that revealed that my mother had contracted bilateral pneumonia.
The internist who treated my mother attended me and told me that she was already very ill that she had no solution, even so they gave her an antibiotic for pneumonia, when they should have done this the week before and maybe my mother would still be here, she passed away on Sunday at 9 in the morning
I did not have the strength at that time to file a complaint, but this is not going to stay that way.
That Hospital looks like a big outpatient clinic, and on weekends or holidays no one cares about anyone there
A hospital does not like it, you go there out of necessity, but it is very clean and provides service to the extent that public health can, so from there my assessment
The Hospital is at a minimum of staff, the treatment of the patient and the relatives is terrible and very badly educated. A HORRIBLE hospital. My aunt died of a stroke for not having the adequate means and not transferring her urgently to Badajoz, more than once I warned that his chest hurt and they ignored me until he lost his life in 2 weeks.
