We traveled for 6 days in Ethiopia with lalibela tours arranging all hotels and three internal flights. Everything worked like a Swiss clock. Drivers and guides were great. As a solo traveler, it was easy to book with them via email. They were responsive and answered all my questions to decide if I should do a 2-day or 3-day trip, and related costs. My guide was Sofi, who went above and beyond to really customize the tour to what I was interested in. Beyond being knowledgeable of the sites, I think this is why Lalibela Local Tour was a standout. (1) Service-oriented. Sofi helped to sort out a quick airport transfer for myself from Lalibela airport to the town. (2) He suggested the best photo angles at the sites, as he knew I was a photography buff. (3) Brought me to a local night bar in Lalibela, which I think was beyond his time schedule but knew it was a cultural experience and performances. At the end of the day I have made a friend and I am glad to have chosen them. Though small, they are extremely local and have mighty reviews.
