Discover Omo

I recently returned from a 12-day trip to Ethiopia (in the middle of COVID-19) and had an unexpectedly trouble-free experience. I visited the tribes of south Omo valley and although I had to present a negative COVID-19 test, otherwise I was allowed to go wherever I wanted. I used Discover Omo tours and they facilitated everything for me, so it was surprisingly painless. There were very few tourists, so I pretty much had the place to myself, which was lovely. Biniyam with Discover Omo went above and beyond to ensure I had a great trip and I greatly appreciated his friendliness and professionalism. I highly recommend them. Thanks Bini!

Biniyam provided us with an incredible experience taking us on a 6 day tour through the Omo Valley. We visited the Dorze, Mursi, Hamer, and Dasenech tribes. The accommodations were very nice and the food was delicious. Biniyam spoke all the local languages and had great relationships with all of the villages we visited which is very important in a guide.

There are a lot of tour companies and guides to choose from in Ethiopia but I want to personally vouch for Discover Omo tour company (aka Biniyam). He really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip and I really appreciated it. he even had a personal cook for us so we had fresh food at every meal. The food options are somewhat lacking in Omo valley so this was a big plus for us. You can really tell Biniyam tries to do his best and I highly recommend Discover Omo. Great job, Biniyam!!! :)
