I wanted the best for my 2 year old bull terrier and Doctor Bardet was the obvious choice. Two orthopedic surgeries later, the results exceeded my expectations.

Excellent Doctor! An excellent professional, proposes the best possible solution. In our case, an arthroscopic surgery for our dog of just 1 year with a genetic defect of the breed ... a total SUCCESS! The veterinary team always pending the postoperative period, top follow-up. We recommend it with your eyes closed Thank you Doctor J F Bardet

I think that in the past Dr. Bardet must have been a good veterinarian, but after having practiced other veterinary clinics, it seems obvious to me that he is not at the level of his colleagues. Exorbitant prices, deplorable hygiene (post-operative infections), no empathy or compassion towards the animals and owners, lack of detail or even refusal to share operating reports. I strongly advise you to use other veterinary clinics whose structure is not autocratic, certainly less focused on the business aspect, and where the diagnosis and the risks associated with surgical operations will be more explained.

EDIT Thank you for your quick response, your first return having reached us 11 days after his death. I would like to respond in order to clarify certain elements giving the impression that our dog was in poor health. -The last intervention for our dog was basically a castration and a descaling, in addition to which a scanner was carried out to check that he had no particular obstruction. -The operative report indicates that he had "good general condition" and "normally ventilated nasal cavities". The purulent nasal discharge mentioned appeared immediately after the operation. From the day after the operation until his death 6 weeks later, our dog was never able to breathe properly or drink water. These problems have never occurred in the past. -Also, we were completely unaware of the existence of a "ponytail syndrome", and the "treatment of a food allergy" was simply a change of kibble. -Indeed we have operated our dog in the past without problem, but unfortunately the last experience seems very regrettable. To flee! My dog died because of Dr. Bardet's negligence when he was barely 7 years old. He is mostly a businessman before being a veterinarian. Go your way. There is much better in the Paris region. - He tried a new operating technique on our dog that he never did before. This has never been told to us. Our dog died. - Checks are cashed the next day. On the other hand, an email to announce a death following his intervention will take 2 weeks to have a finely written answer. - It systematically offers scanners at an exorbitant price because it is produced without printing quality images, without a report, and without CD or support for sharing images. I think it is to prevent people from going to get a second opinion elsewhere. I point out that the other veterinary centers in the Paris region give a CR made by a specialized radiologist and a CD with the images. The price is the same or even cheaper. - He never questions his work. Our dog had a complication following his operation. When we went to see him, he spent the day congratulating himself on having done a great job when our dog had been suffering for several weeks. He didn't even look at it and just gave a new antibiotic. - Our dog was recovered with a third degree burn on the tail. According to other vets, the size and location indicated that it was burned by the bars of the overheated cage because of the lamp used post-anesthesia, an unacceptable complication.

Super Doctor, more than competent, with real respect for the animal and its owners. Nice place, and great support from the assistants. I contacted Doctor Bardet because my dog had 4 herniated discs. The vet who took care of her at the start made me try all kinds of painkillers, and seeing that it did not work (my dog had at that time lost 90% of motor faculty, she could no longer walk) he told me that there was nothing more to do, that the operation would have to be done several times, but that she would certainly not hold it, and that it would turn into therapeutic relentlessness since it 'is an 11 year old German Shepherd. He also told me that if it was his dog, he would euthanize her .. (this vet is a neurosurgeon and the owner of a fairly large clinic). My attending vet therefore redirected me to Doctor Bardet for his opinion. Doctor Bardet operated on her during the day, two weeks later my dog was able to stand up and came to hitch a little. It's been 2 months now, my dog is walking again and has regained her joie de vivre.
