Hotel du Centre

Hello, We went on a motorcycle road trip at the beginning of September and one of our 6 stops was at the hotel "Le Center" in Lélex. The welcome was "weird", at first, we suppose, by one of the employees, very well, she gave us our keys and gave us all the information we wanted, except for the motorcycle parking lot where she told us that 'she would see with the boss upon his return. After leaving our things in the room we went down to the terrace (very pleasant terrace with a nice view) to have a drink and there a "customer" from the next table gets up and asks us what we want to eat ??? It was only after the fact that we realized that in fact it was the owner of the hotel restaurant (too bad it was not written anywhere on his clothes, and moreover the gentleman did is not presented ....). The atmosphere was not very warm (was it due to the fact that we were in the off-season ??). After dinner (just correct but expensive for our taste, on the other hand very pretty dining room) the boss (we understood it by association of ideas, because the lady did not show up either) this time offers us to pay the room immediately (which did not pose any problem to us on the contrary it allowed us to leave more quickly the next morning) because it will be little available the next day (drop off of the children at the college) that we would undoubtedly see it, but that she wouldn't have time. Finally we only saw the morning employee and when we left another employee (the cook, a clerk ??) appeared behind the bar who said goodbye to us. The warm atmosphere was still not there, luckily we were only stopping for one night and we were already leaving. If you have to give a final opinion on the room, it was visibly redone (paint, carpet and bed linen) but the mattress seems dated and the TV a bit small, far from the bed and not plugged in, it took a few minutes understand that if it did not start it was because it was unplugged .... Rest the bathroom, ouch there it stings frankly, very dated floor tiles, shower cabin with dirty sliding door bottoms (nothing to see with the photos on the site), only the vanity unit seemed new, and the bathroom door repainted in a brown color which had nothing to do with the colors of the room in gray and red tones. Here, I am only expressing facts and a very personal feeling, but of the 6 accommodations that we tested either at the hotel or at the host's, it is one of the 2 accommodations that we least appreciated. Report, quality, price very very expensive compared to the other establishments visited during our road trip.

Very pleasant restaurant, we eat very well !! The staff is at the top and listening. Whether it's time for a meal or a short break coming back from a good walk, there is always a warm welcome I recommend 💯 percent !!!

Only on the restaurant: we ordered 2 1/2 bottles of wine, 1 Saint Véran white and 1 red burgundy and we were surprised to see 2 carafes arrive, after asking the waitress, the answer was: we didn't we don't have 1/2 bottles and we opened a bottle that we put in a carafe, but we did not see the bottles ... too bad for meals at 36 €

Excellent welcome !!! The restaurant: a treat .. A menu where starters, main courses and desserts are homemade with fresh products !!! So don't hesitate ....
