RIGHT OF REPLY The 175 euro did not correspond to the ACTH test for which the price of the Idexx Laboratory is 52 € TTC + 13 € courier (rate also given by the laboratory idexx) is 65 € just for this outsourced laboratory. The remainder of the invoice corresponded to my own fees which included the consultation, the injection of the product for the realization of the test and the various samples, preparation of these and essential analyzes for the follow-up of this disease (ionogram, biochemistry and formula counting ). It is legally prohibited to prescribe and provide an order without having first examined the animal, and the maximum legal duration of a prescription is 6 months. It is also extremely dangerous for the animal to prescribe such drugs without regular biological monitoring. We therefore categorically refuse to "distribute prescriptions" on demand and over-the-counter medications not prescribed by us (the law is very clear about this! We can not help it). We also do not provide prescriptions found on the internet by clients. When the results arrive we call the customers on the phone numbers they provide us, in case of absence we leave a message on their answering machine, inviting them to contact the secretariat to see the results. We can not replace the customer for the consultation of their mail. We are concerned, and this is part of the service we gladly offer our clients, to devote as much time as necessary to each of our patients and their owners. Explaining in depth the diseases, their consequences and the conduct of treatments allows many to understand what is happening to their animal and therefore to treat well. We like to work in this way, we like to devote time to the animals we care for, we do not prescribe by spite, nor to satisfy the demands of unduly demanding customers. We do things at best in the respect of the rules and the law, at the risk of displeasing some. We are aware of the cost of things and we regularly moderate our billings, not charging any particular act. I invite Mr. Pelissolo to reread his bill and search for it: the product injected for the test (synactene) and its injection, 4 parameters of biochemistry (because only 2 are included) and the numeration / formula, and yet these examinations have been made and have not been billed.
