Château de Raray Hôtel-Restaurant (Château Mariage - Domaine Mariage - Nord de Paris)

My wife and I found this place on Trip Advisor. We were looking for a place to have breakfast on our way from Paris to Bruges, Belgium. We tried to contact them to inquire about breakfast or a reservation for breakfast but the communication failed and they never got our email. Still, we decided to go. The place is very nice, the palace magnificent, a good representation of the monarchy times. Today is a venue for events. It is also a golf club and they have this restaurant where we enjoyed a light, European breakfast. It was a nice experience but in order to have a full breakfast, reservations are required.

In 1946, Jean Cocteau adapted the famous fairy tale of Madame Leprince de Beaumont "Beauty and the Beast" for the cinema. He will choose the enigmatic hunting hedges of Château de Raray and the Porte de Diane to illustrate a story that is both phantasmagorical and imbued with love.

The meal was adequate but nothing to write home about. I thought it was a restaurant or it's a club house The food is good but expensive for what it is especially in a club house.

The visit of the gardens is very pleasant The guide is extremely friendly and very professional It is a very good time
