We have returned to the Beau Rivage a number of times and never been disappointed. Top class restaurant with 8 comfortable rooms in a tranquil location alongside the river. The 45 minute stroll into Mayenne town is very pleasant.

Nice restaurant for a special occasion

Remarkably over rated in all honesty, lazzy french pretentiousness where every main course is served with the same sides of vegetables, and is very over priced in terms of value for money, you can find the same quality in many local bistrots. Plus the thin weird looking waiter with the glasses was rude and arrogant, and the french people seemed strangely to have more on their plates than us. But the setting was nice and the dessert was pretty decent. A three star establishment that think they are something they're not.
