Carrefour service station

Recently renovated. Pretty cheap. Not far from A26/A4 junction

Cheaper petrol than motorway. Good pit stop if you are heading to/from UK to South/South East France. This particular stretch of motorway is off the péage system & conveniently has this supermarket with a petrol station just 5 minutes from the motorway. Quite a bit cheaper than motorway stations, I save about €16 euros a tank. Also on the plot are restaurants, hotels & a drive through McDonalds and of course a Carrefour supermarket itself. There is a nearby IKEA too if of any interest. At 2.5 hours south of Calais, it makes a convenient top up point. Lots of parking.

I use as a regular fuel stop on my trip south through France. It is a few minutes off the main A26 in Reims. It is just under 170 miles from Calais. For a very short detour you get French supermarket fuel prices rather than the expensive motorway service station prices. The self service pumps work no bother with U.K. visa credit cards making this essentially a 24 hour fuel option. The route back onto the A26 takes you on the road through Reims centre back to where it merges with the A26. Its motorway all the way through Reims so no problem. Just thought I’d better mention it as if you done know you might think your sat nav is taking you the wrong way.
